Happy New Year!

Well it's another new year with a huge pile of snow out here. Rick and I spent most of New Year's Eve day cleaning the eight inches of snow we had the night before. The place looks heavenly with all that white.

December 31st some local families in Chestertown were out in force enjoying the snowfall and sending off 2007 . The kids were practicing their ski and snowboard techniques with determination on the tiny ski slope at the Chestertown Recreation Area.

Here are a couple of adorable photos taken of some of the kids. If you want to see a larger version just click the photo and it will fill your screen - then just hit the back arrow to come back to the blog.

I took these photos for my class with New York Institute of Photography. My assignment is to show motion using a slow shutter speed and following the subject. It was freezing so it's hard to hold the camera still, even on a tripod. The kids had a ball as you can see. Especially this dad who had to keep himself from falling on top of his daughter - very cute kids!

Being in the Adirondacks there is so much for the winter sport enthusiast to do. We have the best skiing in the Northeast with Gore Mountain, Whiteface Mountain and several other great ski resorts. Lake Placid is gorgeous and a great place for anyone to visit.

That's it for today -

Keep Warm and have a prosperous and healthy new year.

Cynthia
